Wedding wishes..............

My husband's niece is getting married on Sunday...and having had all her kitchen appliances etc already in hand, she requested a monetary gift in order to buy herself a washing machine... so of course as family we try to help in any way we can... of course handing someone money in an envelope just looks so impersonal...so I set about making her a personalised "bill" fold to hold her wedding gift from us.

to let you in on the overall plan... I started with a full A4 sheet of curious Metal card and scored down 3 1/4" from the bottom of the card for the bottom fold and 3 1/4" and 4" for from the top of the card for the top fold i.e 2 folds for the top of the card.

stamped the heart caption from Paper Inspirations and  punched out the half circle in the center of the bottom fold. taped both sides and folded in to create a little pocket where the "money"/ Gift card etc will be held.

I stamped Hero Arts S5034 design block flourish  (this is a large stamp that will fill an entire A6 card front) on the section which will be folded over for the top of the card in Versafine smokey grey ink... I just love this color... its not as harsh as black... and looks great on white.

stamped "for your wedding" on white with the smokey grey ink and mounted it onto a silver off cut.

I then cut & emboss a border with my wizard die and embossing machine and the Big scalloped Borderbilities Grand from a   2" x 11 3/4" piece of silver card and threaded a white satin ribbon through it finishing with a bow in the center of the card

Added some flat backed pearls with my Glossy Accents from Ranger (which believe me really sticks embellishments well... mine has survived thru the mail) and personalised the card front with the bride and groom's names foiled in silver and attached toe the top of the card... above the 3 1/4" score line.

this is the underside of the card where the scallop was attached... the silver foiling border and the "to" forms part of the personalised message to the bride and groom.

To finish I wrote a personal message of good wishes to he couple in silver foiling and voila... all done.

The completed project - I just love the final product!

this could easily be made into a really cool wedding invitation....

thanks for taking the time & stopping by... hope to hear from you
