Reaching for the stars @ Outlawz

Hi all

happy Monday to you all... I had a jam packed weekend filled with crafting... how wonderful is that!!

I managed to finish a card for the Outlawz CAS Challenge this week... the theme is 'Space' -
I didn't have any 'Space' images so I had to call on my friend "google" to find a free printable...

I found an adorable FREE Printable at Picklebums and this is what I came up with.

Card is 15x15cm square. I cut the card to size and printed the sentiment using Craft Artist 2 directly onto my card.

I used Harrington font for the wording Reach for the & Candlescript for the word 'Stars'

the space ship was cut out by hand and layed partially over the circle cut out with foam tape to create 3D

I added some glitter and glossy accents to the 'fire' at the bottom of the rocket and some glossy accents to the circle window.. in my impatience to photograph... I moved the card and the glossy accents shifted slightly... one of my problems...'impatience' - I hate waiting for stuff to dry...

stuck a square sheet of scrapbook paper to the background of the card which hopefully simulates 'space' :-)

and here is the completed card... added some 'star' rhinestones which I've had  in my stash forever... and yes! they finally were needed.... I knew it would come in handy one day...LOL

and thats it for the moment... I finished a simple journal cover yesterday.. .will hopefully post those pics soon... completed it as a sample for a possible school project for quite a few young ladies...the key here was to keep costs down... so I had to rack my brain 'cause scrapbook paper and the like is by no means cheap... its gone for approval so as soon as I get it back I'll take some pics and post.

until next time...

don't forget to .....

Keep it Krafty...

hugz

shamela :-)
