Cape Town in heading towards Spring... flowers are starting to bloom and the sky is once again blue.... we didn't have nearly enough rain, so hopefully there will still be more to come... but in the meantime... its a glorious day here...
I know I've been AWOL for a while.... but it't not due to lack of projects, in fact I've been fairly busy... our internet has been awful... not sure who is at fault... its a case of the ISP blaming the phone company... so ultimately.. the consumer pays.. and suffers... story of our lives...
anyway... my parents were married for 50 years last year... and I've been wanting to create a belated 'gift' for them... recently managed to scan and print a few of their wedding pictures... so I made them a canvas...
I started with a 12x12 canvas and some bits of broken jewellery and beads |
adhered them with glossy accents |
close up on the wording: I added glossy accents and some iridescent glitter |
Close up on the flowers and beads I used bazzil basics pearl white board to create the flowers. cut them out with my Tim Holtz Tattered Garland Die # 667824 |
I added extra roses and flowers in an off white color just to add some extra color - still using the same 'white' palette. |
Die cut 2 hearts and embossed them with the scrip folder. added some silver stickers to finish. |

and finally the finished product. If you haven't tried your hand at 'scrapping' on canvas yet.. give it a go... its not that difficult and the end product is just beautiful.
until next time....
remember to......
