Easel Calendar Cards

Hello everyone

It's the weekend....great if you're working, cause now you have time to get crafty.

My paper supplier as the most amazingly helpful people working there. They make it such a pleasure to deal with them...

As a token of thanks - when i collected my order this week, i made them an easel card calendar with a post it note pad.

I love giving calendars away as gifts @ the start of the year ' cause its something that the recipient can use for the rest of the year.

I made a more feminine one for the lady and made the gentlemen one with Tim Holtz papers so it could have a more masculine feel.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Keep it Crafty!

Vintage Car 21st card

Hello fellow crafters

I was recently asked to make a 21st card for a young lady, but the tricky part was that she wanted a vintage car on the front of her card. So it sounded simple enough until i actually sat down to make the card....everything i came up with just looked so manly! Oh dear....what to do...

Eventually I turned to the www and downloaded a free clip art image to use....added some flowers to make it more feminine and this is what i came up with

Hope you like....

Sweet 16 mini album

Hello everyone

Its a scorcher in Cape Town today...really...i feel like I am melting away...lol...almost time for a quick dip in the pool..but before that, i wanted to share with you a mini album we made in a class recently.

This was a gift from a mother to daughter on her 16th birthday. Paper pads are a great way to ensure your pages all work well together.

We used one from Hampton Art for this album....pages are simple because we were on a time crunch, but we left plenty of space for journalling allowing the recipient to add her personal touch to the album by recording her own memories of these pictures.

I loved the way the cover turned out!

Have a wonderful day wherever you are.

Keep it Crafty!

Heritage mixed media frame

Hello everyone

Ok...so I painted over this old board my hubby had...been holding onto it forever....cause i knew i wanted to eventually do something with it...and i thought if all else fails....i could just paint over it again...and start all over.

I started out with a black background and some newspaper print randomly stuck on it, which @ the moment is almost invisible...but anyway..this is what it evolved into and a year down the line I will probably cringe and wonder to myself "what on earth were you thinking, putting this on your blog" but for now...i am partially pleased with the outcome...a bit patchy in places, but i am sure with more thought going into the planning of the next one it should be better...lol I hope!

Anyway.. I look forward to your feedback.

Keep it crafty

Simple 21st invites

Hello fellow crafters

I trust the New yea has brought loads of inspiration and crafting goodness.

I started the year on a good footing, have already had my first class, lets hope i can maintain the momentum...lol..

Just finished a batch of 30 21st invites and i thought i would share them with you..Quick and easy....finished them in the space of about 2 hours.

They are printed in black on cream card and then layered onto a soft green. I stamped penny black 3857H footnote on the side of the invite in green and added some bling just below the 21.

Have a great day
